​During the 73rd UN General Assembly in New-York, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had an opportunity to introduce the SDGs Ball to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of San Marino, H.E. Nicola Renzi.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) personally congratulated the members of the K-Pop Group for their vibrant and inspiring speech at the UN General Assembly on September 24.
BTS leader RM gave his speech on the occasion of the launch of UNICEF's 'Generation Unlimited' initiative, as the group members were invited as UNICEF goodwill ambassadors. Speaking in English, RM reflected on the message of BTS' UNICEF campaign 'Love Myself' and his personal journey in learning to love himself and speak up for himself and others.

The UN SDGs Advocacy Group had a plenary meeting on September 23, 2018, during the 73rd Session of the UN General -Assembly in New-York. The meeting was organized by Mr. Robert Skinner, Executive Director at UN Office for Partnerships.

During the 6th Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A) Board Meeting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between SDGs and the Foreign Minister of Zambia H.E. Joe Malanji.

​During the 73rd UN General Assembly, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had the occasion to interact with several representatives of UN agencies, and related bodies. 

On Sep. 19, 2018, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF), Dr. Irina Bokova, former Director General of UNESCO, and Mr. Martin Barth, President and CEO of Word Tourism Forum in Lucerne  (WTFL) had a discussion meeting with H.E Ban Ki-moon, former UN Secretary-General.
The main topic of the discussion was promoting initiatives and activities to let tourism become the power in South Korea’s economy. 

On September 18, 2018, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF), and Dr. Mario Hardi, CEO of the Pacific Asia Travel Association, had a meeting with the Governor of Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Mr. Won Hee-ryong, and took this opportunity to introduce the SDGs Ball as powerful awareness-raising tool.

On Sept. 18, 2018, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) and Dr. Mario Hardy, CEO of PATA promoted the SDGs Ball to the Mayor of Busan, Mr. Oh Keo-don.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) organized a meeting on Seoul, Korea between Mrs. Mi-kyung Lee, Mrs. Mi-kyung Lee, President of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), and Dr. Mario Hardy, CEO of Pacific Asia Travel Association.

​At the initiative of Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF), a meeting was organized between Princess Dana is the wife of Prince Firas bin Raad of Jordan, and Mrs. Mi-kyung Lee, President of KOICA.
Princess Dana Firas is the Chairperson of Petra National Trust, a nongovernmental organization dedicated to the preservation and protection of the World Heritage Site of Petra.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) organized a commemoratory tour to Andong city with
Dr. Irina Bokova, former Director General of UNESCO.
The tour was hosted by the Mayor of Andong City, Mr. Kweon Young-sae, as well as the President of the City Council, Mr. Chung, and the Head of Andong Ariculture Cooperative, Mr. Kwon.

Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) attended the PATA Youth Symposium, hosted in Langkawi, Malaysia, on September 12, 2018, under the theme “Inspiring Tourism. Leaders of Tomorrow”.
Amb. DHO was appointed Special Advisor of PATA at the PATA Annual Summit in Gangneung, Korea, in May 2018.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had a meting at the Royal Norwegian embassy in Seoul, during which introduced the SDGs Balls.
Amb. Dho has been supporting the efforts of the Co-Chair of the UN SDGs Advocacy Group, Norwegian Prime Minister
Erna Solberg, in promoting the UN SDGs ball as a powerful awareness-raising tool.
