UN SDGs Advocates attend the Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development 2018

The inaugural Global Engagement & Empowerment Forum on Sustainable Development (GEEF) was hosted by the Institute for Global Engagement and Empowerment (IGEE) and the Ban Ki-moon Centre for Global Citizens, at Yonsei University in Seoul, South Korea, on Feb. 7 & 8, 2018. Under the theme “Putting People and Planet at the Center”, prominent figures including UN Secretary-General António Guterres, Former UN SG Ban Ki-moon, and Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon participated as speakers to provide insights on the 2030 Development Agenda and best practices towards achieving the UN’s 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) adopted by over 190 world leaders in 2015. On Feb. 8, 2018, Amb. Dho Young-shim, Chairperson of UNWTO ST-EP Foundation and UN SDGs Advocate attended the First plenary session of the Forum titled “Sport and Partnerships for Sustainable Development and Peace”.
