Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had two meetings in October 2018, with H.E. Advocate with H.E. Mohamed bin Abdulla Al-Dehaimi, Ambassador of Qatar to the Republic of Korea, with aim to promote the UN SDGs Ball, as well as how mega-sports events can contribute to the achievement of the 2030 Global Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Qatar was selected to host the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had a meeting with H.E. Nozuko Gloria Bam, Ambassador of South Africa to the republic of Korea, in order to discuss a regional initiative aimed at fostering sustainable tourism development in Africa.
This initiative would be spearheaded by the Ambassadors of Ghana, Rwanda, South Africa, and Tanzania to the Republic of Korea, who are all women. 

​During the 73rd UN General Assembly in New-York, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) had an opportunity to introduce the SDGs Ball to the Foreign Minister of the Republic of San Marino, H.E. Nicola Renzi.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) personally congratulated the members of the K-Pop Group for their vibrant and inspiring speech at the UN General Assembly on September 24.
BTS leader RM gave his speech on the occasion of the launch of UNICEF's 'Generation Unlimited' initiative, as the group members were invited as UNICEF goodwill ambassadors. Speaking in English, RM reflected on the message of BTS' UNICEF campaign 'Love Myself' and his personal journey in learning to love himself and speak up for himself and others.

The UN SDGs Advocacy Group had a plenary meeting on September 23, 2018, during the 73rd Session of the UN General -Assembly in New-York. The meeting was organized by Mr. Robert Skinner, Executive Director at UN Office for Partnerships.

​Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) attended the 2018 Global Choir Concert hosted by the Carnegie Hall in New-York, with several performances by Korean choirs, and the Heart to Heart Orchestra
Amb. Dho is Special Advisor of Heart to Heart Orchestra. 

During the 6th Sustainable Development Goals Center for Africa (SDGC/A) Board Meeting a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between SDGs and the Foreign Minister of Zambia H.E. Joe Malanji.
Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF) is Special Advisor of the SDGC/A since July 2018.

On Sep. 19, 2018, Amb. Dho Young-shim, UN SDGs Advocate and Chairperson of the International Charity Foundation (ICF), Dr. Irina Bokova, former Director General of UNESCO, and Mr. Martin Barth, President and CEO of Word Tourism Forum in Lucerne  (WTFL) had a discussion meeting with H.E Ban Ki-moon, former UN Secretary-General.
The main topic of the discussion was promoting initiatives and activities to let tourism become the power in South Korea’s economy.
